Holly & Jamie, Cape Girardeau, MO

Remember Holly & Jamie? Revisit their Lifestyle[d] Engagement Session for a recap on their sweet love story.

In the months leading up to their wedding, I liked to remind Holly how excited I was because of her creative attention to detail and love for all things aesthetically pleasing. She would giggle and say something like "I hope you're not disappointed..." and then I made sure she heard my eyes rolling on the other end of the phone.

After arriving and saying hello's, the first thing I do on a wedding day is find the dress. I don't need to tell you how big a role the dress plays in setting the mood for the day's photographs. When Holly brought out her stunning champagne vintage-inspired JCrew gown, I just couldn't stand it. Disappointed? I don't think so. No detail of their wedding day was overlooked; from her hand-made photo booth backdrop to her recycled candle centerpieces, every inch rang of modern romance.

Holly & Jamie were married just a block from their new apartment at the Buckner Brewing Co. in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Holly did such a good job of scouting the river-side town for fabulous pre-shoot locations. We stopped at Capaha Park for some disc golf, the historic Southeast Missourian, and finished at the Spanish Street Mercantile with some ice cream. After a beautiful ceremony in which Holly's dad married the two, the newly wed couple and I escaped to the rooftop just outside their apartment where Jamie asked Holly to marry him. Adorable? Yes. Adventurous Bride? Heck yes.

The evening was celebrated well with family and friends and concluded with the bridal party releasing Chinese Lanterns into the night sky. Thank you, J & H for allowing my to celebrate and share your special day!
