last summer i swung by the hedley + bennett headquarters (founded by killer bosslady ellen bennett) to photograph a studio tour for sf girl by bay and much to my jolly surprise, the visit turned into one of the most enjoyable ongoing gigs i have. i stop by the studio once a month to photograph new aprons and lifestyle images for the exploding apron brand and each time i'm there, i'm blown away by the kindness and killer work ethic of everyone involved. here are a few of my favorite images from recent shoots.

geronimo balloons studio tour for sf girl by bay

you know that feeling when you're about to meet someone that you feel like you know because of their social media presence but you're nervous because what if they're not that great in person and just really good at marketing and self promotion? well the second I met Jihan - owner, creative brain and personality behind Geronimo Balloons - all that went out the window and I knew this gal was even better than her online persona (which is pretty damn great). I visited her studio for SF Girl By Bay and it was only a matter of minutes before we were sharing recent dermatology procedures and cappuccinos. this gal is the bees knees and you should check out her wise and witty words in her interview with sf girl by bay. here are some favorites from our shoot. xo

studio tour | emily snyder

i had the pleasure of visiting emily snyder's downtown artist studio and got a close-up look of her fantastic line drawings. emily's artistic skill covers a wide array of mediums from paint, pen, pencil and beads but the quality and color tie them all together. i photographed her space for SF Girl By Bay as part of our los angeles studio tours which offers readers a behind the scenes look at the places where folks create. enjoy the photos and pop over here for an interview with emily.
