ART IS GOOD FOR YOU
We have no trouble creating without judgement when we are children. But somewhere along the line, we got lost in the rules and busyness and expectations of a magnificent final masterpiece.
Did you know that just 40 minutes of art practice (regardless of your skill), can decrease your stress hormones and boost dopamine levels?* Who among us couldn’t use a dose’a that?!
As two artists who have worked incredibly hard to maintain a creative practice in the midst of motherhood, we find it incredibly helpful to remove pause our production-obsessed mindset and tap into that intuitive nature, inviting playfulness and surprise back into our art.
We believe that art is for everyone but often one of three obstacles prevent folks from creating : not enough time; it’s too messy; they don’t know where to start.
Join Ashley & Lily for a one hour virtual art event during which you’ll be guided through a variety of process art practices. Little mess, simple supplies. You just show up and have a damn good time.
PROCESS ART
is the practice of letting go of a final product and finding joy in the act of creation. We’ve specifically chosen exercises that help emotion flow through the body and remember how good it feels to just play.
