Utterly Engaged : Feature!

I couldn't be more excited to share our recent spread in the lovely Utterly Engaged! Their latest online magazine issue is full of wonderful eye candy and we're honored to be a part of it. Back in May, Nichole R. and I sat down to create a styled inspiration shoot that showcased all things fabulous about Ohio and the creative folk that call it home. We wanted to focus on the agricultural environment that thrives in the Midwest and the warm, hospitable gatherings that take place in such a setting. We sought out our favorite local vendors and were overwhelmed by the response that we received. Below are a few spreads from the magazine; I'll share more from the shoot soon! Our feature begins on page 126, but be sure to settle in for a viewing of the entire issue!

Amy & Jakob with Baby on the Way

Amy and I used to sit across from each other at the Starbucks near Union University, sipping our drinks and trading stories about our boyfriends. Those boyfriends became our husbands and now one of them is about to become a daddy! Can't believe it. I was able to meet with Jakob and Amy and baby-bump Emerie (don't you love that name?), last weekend before we celebrated the three at the most adorable baby shower I've ever been to (more on that later!). Isn't Amy one of the most stunning moms-to-be you've ever seen? One thing is for sure - baby girl is going to be long, lean and terribly good looking. Can't wait to meet baby E in January!

We were joined by some inquisitive cows mid-shoot. They had babies, too.

Heather & Daniel's Tennessee Engagement

Heather and I met in the sixth grade but didn't spend a lot of time together - mostly because things were often done alphabetically back then so "Zopfi" and "Adams" were rarely involved in the same group.... But it was so great to reconnect recently and have the opportunity to hang out with she and Daniel. They are so great together, always making each other smile and super head over heels for one another; Daniel would pull Heather in tight to him any chance he got. We began our session (styled by the fabulous Nichole R.), at the Chattanooga Choo Choo (one of their favorite spots), then made a stop by the river with their ever-growing book collection of Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, intending to conclude at the Tivoli but sadly, the marque was not bright with brilliance, so we popped into the lovely and historic Read House. After the two enjoyed a dance as a guest played  Claire de Lune on the lobby's grand piano, the hotel staff was kind enough to open one of their beautiful ballrooms for us. We had a great evening and I'm so looking forward to their spring wedding. Lily Glass Photography
