I've recently begun working with a fabulous new album company and I couldn't be more proud of the final product. I had total control of the layout and the quality, customer service and turnaround time are fantastic. The thick pages do not tear or bend; they are actual fine art prints, not just ink on paper, so they won't fade over time. Six deliciously rich leather covers to choose from, giving the album a clean, classic design. My favorite size is the 8x8 square and the mini 4x4 replicas are a fabulous gift idea for Mom and Dad! Hello, Class.
Kate + Brett's Harbor Wedding
I love everything about the wedding day: the months of preparations finally realizing themselves, the details, the nerves, the hairspray, the anticipation. My favorite part, though, has to be the moment when the bride and groom meet for the first time. In those moments it's as if all the nerves flutter away and are replaced by a quiet, relaxed contentment. It's an obvious transformation from running around like crazy making sure all the bags are packed and that mom got the steamer out of the closet and oh, my goodness, I hope it doesn't rain - is Aunt Jackie bringing that weird new boyfriend.... to Ahhhh, finally.
Kate was a dream bride the whole day - relaxed and excited. We did have some rain just before the outdoor ceremony but that cleared up and cooled things down a bit. But as calm and cool as she was before the ceremony, once she and Brett were hand in hand, she was nothing but grins and giggles the rest of the day.
Remember their fabulous sailboat engagement? Keeping with the theme, Kate and Brett were married at the Lyman Harbor in Sandusky, Ohio, which provided some fun backdrops and a killer reception venue. I got to spend the morning with the ladies at Captain Montague's B&B while Ben hung out with guys and, so I hear, played games and made milkshakes. We had a blast with you two, K&B, thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your beautiful lakeside day!

Holly & Jamie, Cape Girardeau, MO
Remember Holly & Jamie? Revisit their Lifestyle[d] Engagement Session for a recap on their sweet love story.
In the months leading up to their wedding, I liked to remind Holly how excited I was because of her creative attention to detail and love for all things aesthetically pleasing. She would giggle and say something like "I hope you're not disappointed..." and then I made sure she heard my eyes rolling on the other end of the phone.
After arriving and saying hello's, the first thing I do on a wedding day is find the dress. I don't need to tell you how big a role the dress plays in setting the mood for the day's photographs. When Holly brought out her stunning champagne vintage-inspired JCrew gown, I just couldn't stand it. Disappointed? I don't think so. No detail of their wedding day was overlooked; from her hand-made photo booth backdrop to her recycled candle centerpieces, every inch rang of modern romance.
Holly & Jamie were married just a block from their new apartment at the Buckner Brewing Co. in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Holly did such a good job of scouting the river-side town for fabulous pre-shoot locations. We stopped at Capaha Park for some disc golf, the historic Southeast Missourian, and finished at the Spanish Street Mercantile with some ice cream. After a beautiful ceremony in which Holly's dad married the two, the newly wed couple and I escaped to the rooftop just outside their apartment where Jamie asked Holly to marry him. Adorable? Yes. Adventurous Bride? Heck yes.
The evening was celebrated well with family and friends and concluded with the bridal party releasing Chinese Lanterns into the night sky. Thank you, J & H for allowing my to celebrate and share your special day!
