Art + Reika's Picnic Wedding

Oh, boy. I don't even know where to start -- with how wonderful these two are? With how much joy they've brought to the Glass Family? With how adorable every. last. detail. of this wedding was? Art and Reika have such a sincere love that encourages and sharpens those with whom they come into contact -- their love makes you want to love better, to love genuinely. And so it was no surprise that their wedding was a celebration to begin their lives together, but also a downright party during which they danced and hugged and high-fived the friends and family that they hold so dear. There were folks from all over the world and never have I seen wedding guests intermingle so well as this evening, which I think testifies greatly to the kind of couple that Art+Reika are. 

Not only was their wedding day to die for (I'm serious you guys, when they shared what they had planned I had to work so hard to keep my eyes from popping out of their sockets, cartoon-style, and I'm pretty sure I drooled at least three times...) , but I had the amazing opportunity to photograph their day in film. They were married in an old stone chapel and celebrated with their guests at Art's childhood home with a picnic reception. It was just perfect. 

Thank you both for allowing us to celebrate with you in this way. You have a big spot in our hearts and we are blessed to know you. xo

Brittany + John's Brunch Wedding at the Taylor Mansion

The very first time I spoke with Brittany over the phone (she and John are from Ohio but currently work in Washington, D.C.), I knew I would love her. Before she allowed me to ask questions about she and John, she wanted to hear all about my pregnancy (I was 37 weeks when we spoke), how I was feeling, what I was most looking forward to about motherhood and even invited baby Glass to her upcoming wedding. What a genuine, beautiful soul. She and John are two of the most intentional folks you'll ever meet and it was no surprise that their wedding was full of charming, thought-out details attended by friends and family full of excitement for the two.

And if being fabulous and incredibly good-looking wasn't enough... Brittany and John opted for a brunch wedding at The Taylor Mansion. During that initial phone conversation Brittany was describing their vision for it : "there will be waffles and coffee and pie and tea cups; we just really love each other in the morning so we thought, 'why not?'." Yes, please.

Nicole and Jay had the most fantastic weather for their early summer wedding (which was a relief to all three of us after rescheduling their engagement session twice due to nasty storms!). They were married at St. Luke's Methodist Church and celebrated with their friends and family downtown at The Vault. We had a fabulous amount of time following the ceremony to tromp all around downtown, stopping at the Ohio Theater, Northbank Park and The Columbus Columns. These two are pho-to-genic, y'all.
