This year I'm making it a point to shoot in harsher lighting situations and couldn't be more pleased with the way this film turned out. When Ashley and I took an afternoon by the pool to plan our 2015 Hart+Honey calendar she was kind enough to be a subject in my light-hunt. When we work together we push each other and encourage one another to try new things - grateful for her exhortation in every step of the way even when it comes to needing a model! More yummy film photos to come but these are a few of my favorites.

few things make me happy like a bright and sunny kitchen. grateful for this bright light in the middle of what i keep forgetting is winter… you're wooing me, los angeles.

molly + brandon | baby on the way

There's something so wonderful about doing life together -- growing together and experiencing huge life transitions side by side. Molly and Brandon were part of our sweet church community in Ohio and we had the pleasure of documenting their beautiful wedding day a few years back. They moved to Los Angeles for work around the time that we started considering the West Coast and graciously housed Ben for three months until Ruth and I moved out last summer. Their presence here has been so comforting; a sense of familiarity amongst so much newness. We couldn't be more grateful for their friendship during this time and are just over the moon excited about being around for the start of their family. I got to stop by their Silverlake home and photograph their sweet anticipation for this winter baby.
