photographing artists in their studios is one of my favorite things. and oh man i had such a lovely time getting to know these two while shooting their shared space for the wool issue of STUDY. fiber artists extraordinaire, lisa of sonadora handmade and rebecca of camellia fiber co. are two of the kindest souls you'll ever meet, making some of the loveliest goods in nashville, tennessee.

Patricia Shen began Our Hei Day in 2014 after deciding law school just wasn't right for her. and I dare say the world is lovelier because of that choice. Patricia's designs light up, inspire and delight. In that short time the paper brand has expanded to a small team (which includes her sister Donna) busting at the seams in a light-filled downtown loft. Patricia is lovely inside and out, seemingly never to have met a stranger and I'd venture to guess sees the good in everyone she meets. Such a warm soul, it was a pleasure to photograph her creative space.
